One of the longest running and most intriguing aspects of TR Lore has to be the Eloh language, with the limited resources we have right now though, using it proves very challenging - atleast when you try and produce a real working sentance...
So, whats the best Eloh sentance you can come up with? "All Your Cosmos Are Belong To We"? Scribble it down (in paint or anywhere) and show us how educated in Eloh you are.

[ image disabled ] Ogaming had a post running try to figure exactly what the marking on this forean spear mean. I think the bet guess we had was "War doesn't lead to Victory... Peace/Unity leads to Victory... " something along that line (reading counterclockwise). I'll post a link to the topic when the Ogaming forums go back up (down for their daily respite).

The image looks to be the same one in the E3 '05 video. Lord British translates that writing to
"A long time ago (a time in the past) our civilization grew upon a planet that was in the past a far travel into the stars. So long ago our planet grew on a planet that was a long journey in the stars"
Yeah, thats the one. Thats why its the classic entry into symbol reading, the Eloh Column is also the same one from some of the Pre-Revision screenshot, were it sported the same Symbols (so it hasn't changed since (?)), so its the oldest Eloh sentance available to the Community as far as I'm aware (the screenshot came on the BSP disc when symbols were first released so it must be).

Will there be accessability to write in symbols inside Tabula Rasa, possibly with the intention of affording players with the chance to use a potentially universal language with players who speak another language?
Would anyone else approve of a this or a similar feature?

Ha ha, I would give BIG kudos to the first player who manages to write a small story completely in symbols. The community potential for a game-created language is pretty exciting.

I really hope that use is made of it, it seems that now the game is heading for more so called 'fun', that the language has taken a back seat, simply implemented into the Logos system to actually force it into the mainstream gameplay.
I hope when DG decided to create a game with more fun, they didn't overlook the multiple types of fun players can potentially have. For player created RP action, the Eloh language has such great potential, if its accessible. I really hope its not a, word per logos stone, complete one character to max to uncover 8% of the language and rinse and repeat for 4 years until you finally have full access to the language (bar 3rd party language guides).
