"So who ar' ya? How didja get here? Whatcha good at, soldier?"

Any idea what kind of character you want to play? Maybe you even have a bit of story to you? No? What are you hoping to see your character go through then? You going heavy armor and heavy weapons? Or maybe your fast on your feet, faster with the trigger? Scout? Biotox Specialist? Sharpshooter? Alcoholic? This is the place to let us know about who your gonna be, or hope to see, in the war.

Im going support. Its a rare thing for me not to have my primary as a healer or equivelent, though sometimes I go utility too. Im not usually the kind to come up with a long story, but I can do it fast on my toes if its called for. I love generating stuff in the moment. Im not really a heavy RP type, but I like to play with them. I usually just do some kind of shootoff of myself in game terms. I like to play natural its what I find fun, but I also enjoy the setting of a game and do my best to bring the two together.

There are two main paths Im considering now, and I will have to wait till Im playing the game, to see what its like, before I know which I will take (or if I encounter another path on the way!). First is the way of a standardish medic. Here I would be relying more on types of technology to do what I do. Second is the way of logos, become more a spiritualist type or perhaps magic healer. What I do want to do though is play as specialized as possible. Do the (probably one) thing I do, and do it awesome (and just suck otherwise). Since there is generally a lack of support players this usually is quite helpful to a team from my experience. As such I suspect I will be running the path down to biotechnician in game terms. Always nice to have that healer around, or in my case a team to stand in front

I too have always played a healer or healer-hybrid (Doctor & Adventurer in AO, Priest & Paladin in WoW, Lore Master in LOTRO) and I have to say that I like the look of the Biotechnican.
On the other hand the Ranger also looks like a blast to play... typically it's on a totally different branch opf the tier system lol.

I am a definite RP'er, playing exclusively on RP realms in both WoW and LOTRO. From my experience in AO & EVE though you don't have to have RP realms to RP RP'ing in a future-based game is a lot easier I think, e.g. you don't have to worry about the words you use as terms like "lol" or "wtf" are already commonly used today As you've already said the setting & immersion are what's going to matter most here.

Fighting to protect that which we value above all else!

I'll atleast be getting a ranger (or something branching from ranger since that's only tier3) and an engineer (branching from Sapper I suppose)

Most likely gonna go the commando route, then after that for Tier 4 it will be up in ther air but i think i am leaning towards the Guardian, Rather than the damage dealer.

If i for some reason go with ranger for tier 3 then i would want to be a sniper, blowing heads off the bane from 600yds Mmmm breakfast of champs!

Well traditionally I go for light armor and heavy weapon in similar games. I like to stick em hard and move. Shoot and scoot is definitely my style. Exactly what path I will take to reach that goal is still very much up in the air.
